الملخص
The air transport plays a significant role in promoting economic development globally, different trading blocs and regions have enacted common air travel policies seeking to regulate the interest of the industry players while protecting the welfare of the consumers. This thesis examines how these countries from deferent regions often form the major destinations, such as the European Union (EU), United State of America (USA) and United Arab Emirates (UAE), utilize diverse policy systems to guarantee and enhance the rights of consumers by averting potential exploitation by respective corporations. The thesis therein seeks to address and highlight certain areas in the various protection mechanisms utilized in the selected countries (EU, USA, and UAE) to oversee and enforce air passengers' rights. While extensive research has been done to assess the relevance of airline consumer protections and air carriers' legal obligations, little efforts have been directed to compare these policies in UAE against EU and USA. The study considers existing international conventions on air carrier liability and air passengers' rights regimes in the EU, the USA and the UAE.
