In this study the role of public relations (PR) and Communication in government health institutions was highlighted. The research focuses on the role of PR in government health institutions, communication strategies of PR in government health institutions, media campaigns and media used by PR departments in government Health institutions. This was studied through Descriptive method, interviews were conducted with PR departments employees in selected Health government institutions to evaluate the PR and communication Strategies and to identify the challenges facing the field. Also, a survey to public was distributed to get their view also. Results showed that public relations role is different in each institution due to many reasons, On the other hand core tasks of public relations are similar everywhere. This study is important because it sheds the light on an interesting field such as healthcare, also public relations play an important role in every institution and administrations focus on public relations to satisfy customers.
